Kihei is a convenient location to all areas of Maui and is less then 10 miles from the international airport, yet you can enjoy its sleepy beaches and spectacular sunsets. Kihei is also one of the sunniest and driest parts of the Hawaiian Islands and only averages less then 12 inches of rain annually. This is compared to the Eastern side of Maui which receives 90 inches of rain and the mountain range may reach 300 inches.
